Each and Every

早幾日打email想打每個月1號出糧，但係就發現左一個問題: 究竟係on the 1st of each month 定係every month 呢??
each VS every??
就呢個問題，我地請教左hku既英文老師，同埋我地公司既老師，再加上字典既解釋，就得出以下既結論:
Each is use for any number of people or things considered separately,
Every for any number considered together.
Each 是指任何數量的人或物中的各個，every則將任何數量的人或物當作整體來看。
e.g.
Each item is carefully checked. (=probably one by one)
逐一仔細檢查各項。
Every item has been carefully checked.(=all of them)
所有項目都仔細檢查過了。
e.g.
Each child was given a small gift. (=a gift of their own)
每個孩子都得到一份小禮物。
Every child was given a small gif. (=they were all given one)
所有的孩子都得到了一份小禮物。
其實要知道用邊個字係要睇番你要強調既係"每一"定係"所有"; 另外，Each 多數會用o係d有延續性的事物上，而every 就係指緊generally。
所以呢，我一開始既問題既答案應該就係each 喇。因為我想強調既係每一個月既1號，而且係有延續性，即係每個月都會不停做既。
仲有小小題外話呢就係each 同every的後面係要用單數(singular)動詞既，除非它位於複數(plural)名詞之後。
例如:
Each of them wins $50.
They each win $50.
